FAQ Dog exhibitor

The list of judges is available at www.onlinedogshows.eu

Only pedigree dogs whose standard is deposited with the FCI and which are entered in a stud book or register recognized by the FCI/VDH are admitted. Identity checks of the registered dogs are possible. Please bring the pedigree or registration certificate to the show.

For the first time, three international exhibitions will be held at the Dortmund Exhibition Centre in May: 

  • Friday: Dortmund International Show (all 10 groups) 
  • Saturday: VDH European Winner Show (all 10 groups) 
  • Sunday: Agria Winner Show (formerly Spring Winner Show) (all 10 groups) 

Four titles for the German Champion (VDH) are possible. Further information on titles can be found here

We work together with the registration portal OnlineDogShows. Simply register at www.onlinedogshows.eu and enter your dog easily.

Veterinary certificates are required for dogs of certain breeds. All other dogs do not require a veterinary examination for show participation. Further information

Yes, there is a show ban according to the VDH Show Regulations for the following dogs from Germany and abroad:

  1. Ears cropped
  2. Tail docked (Exception: Hunting use according to German Animal Welfare Act. Only for FCI-recognised hunting dog breeds).

 

The Veterinary Office Dortmund requires all dogs born after 1.1.2018 and docked at the tail to present a certificate from the veterinarian who performed the docking when participating in shows. The certificate must contain the following information:

That tail-docking

1. has been carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Animal Welfare Act

and

2. is required for the intended hunting use.

Please carry this certificate with you at the show. Otherwise, your dog may be excluded from (further) participation in the show in the event of an inspection by the responsible veterinary office.

Tickets can be booked directly during the entry of the dog on OnlineDogShows.

The judge's report is recorded in the ring with a tablet and sent to you by e-mail after the evaluation together with the certificate.

These will be available online on OnlineDogShows after the dogs have been judged.

Parking spaces are available in the immediate vicinity for approx. 8.800 cars and buses. The parking fee is 10.00 EUR per car for all parking areas. Information on how to get there is available here.
