Yes, there is a show ban according to the VDH Show Regulations for the following dogs from Germany and abroad:
- Ears cropped
- Tail docked (Exception: Hunting use according to German Animal Welfare Act. Only for FCI-recognised hunting dog breeds).
The Veterinary Office Dortmund requires all dogs born after 1.1.2018 and docked at the tail to present a certificate from the veterinarian who performed the docking when participating in shows. The certificate must contain the following information:
That tail-docking
1. has been carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Animal Welfare Act
and
2. is required for the intended hunting use.
Please carry this certificate with you at the show. Otherwise, your dog may be excluded from (further) participation in the show in the event of an inspection by the responsible veterinary office.
Tickets can be booked directly during the entry of the dog on OnlineDogShows.
